8 Days Lemosho Route with Crater Camp.

Lemosho route approaches Mount Kilimanjaro from the west. You can have the scope to visit the Shira Plateau and Shira Caldera, if you are travelling in this route. The route crosses from Shira Ridge to Shira 2 camp and after this it joins with the same route. Till joining the Machame, the visitors would enjoy the low traffic, but the vast vistas of the scenic beauty would make you excited. After this both Lemosho and the Machame would pass through Lava Tower, Barranco and Barafu sharing some of the best view points of the southern circuit.

The minimum days for the summiting is 7 days, but 8 days is recommended as it will give more chance to acclimatize and achieve the summit. but 8 days is recommended as it will give more chance to acclimatize and achieve the summit. As Lemosho passes through some of the most spectacular landscapes like the rain forest at the beginning, the spectacular Shira Plateau and together with Machame it shows some of the best view points of the Southern Circuit, it is considered to be one of the scenically most beautiful routes to the summit of Kilimanjaro.

Lemosho has low crowds until it combines with Machame. Lemosho is highly recommended and it has an abundance of wildlife such as elephant, buffalo, eland and lion which come over to forage during dry season from Longido game controlled area. Because the starting point is far from Moshi, it is more expensive to climb this route due to the added transportation cost of getting hikers to the gate. A vehicle is used to bring hikers to the gate, where the trail begins in the montane rainforest.

Lemosho trekkers have a longer distance to shield in the tropical rain forest ecosystem than other routes, and as a result hikers do not exit the rainforest until the end of day two. This plan means that the Lemosho route is a longer route, usually taking 7 to 8 days to complete.

Kilimanjaro Climb - 6 Days Marangu Route

Kilimanjaro Marangu route it is known as “Coca-Cola” route or “tourist route” this is because Marangu is the most common route on the mountain and thus is considered popular touristy and because is the only route that provide sleeping huts.Marangu approaching Kilimanjaro from the southeast is known to be the oldest established route to its summit. For its scenic view, easy accessibility and higher success rate, most of the hikers give their first choice to this route. The minimum days required for this route is five, although the probability of successfully reaching the top in that time is a bit low. This is why it is always recommended to take an extra day to summit it. This really maximizes the success rate. The credit of its popularity goes to its huts on the way meant for the rest and the overnight stay.

Kilimanjaro Climb - 8 Days Umbwe Route

The notorious 8 Days Umbwe Route is our newest tour and the toughest route to tame the summit of Kilimanjaro. If you’re an experienced, bold climber you’ll relish challenging yourself on the unforgiving but uncrowded and beautiful terrain. You’ll enjoy breathtaking sights that few travellers see. You’ll experience the raw, primitive beauty of sun bleached rocky outcrops and balance along knife-edge ridges with water-carved ravines swooping giddily below. You’ll clamber upon the gnarled tree roots of ancient rainforest trails, traverse ice fields shimmering like frosted diamonds in the African sun, and sleep under sweeping star-filled skies. You’ll skirt round the dangerous mist-clad Western Breach, crossing each grade of alpine and glacier zone. Every moment will be a feast to your senses and a challenge to your body and character. The Umbwe Route is like no other; a test of endurance amongst the majesty and grace of Kilimanjaro. As you stand proudly on Uhuru Peak at sunrise, you can say that you have conquered Umbwe. Although not technical, this route is arduous and the steep but short physical climb early on in the tour means there’s no time for altitude acclimatization. If you’re undecided or less experienced, try our Machame Route; more gentle but just as amazing.

Kilimanjaro Climb 11 Days

The Northern Circuit Route is a distinctive route and the longest trail on Mount Kilimanjaro. It goes through the untouched northern slope and begins in the West of Mount Kilimanjaro at the Londorossi Gate with excellent views from all sides of the mountain. The trail is less popular and thus good for people looking for a quieter route.

Northern circuit route can be a good optional for those people who need more time for acclimatization will trekking the roof of Africa and it can be done in 10 days including an extra night at crater camp or for 9 days without camping at crater camp.

Lemosho Route 8 Days

The Lemosho route is one of our preferred route due beautiful scenery and a high summit success rate. The Lemosho route located from the west that begins with a long drive from Moshi to Londorossi Gate. Sometime the route is dusty due to many vehicles. From there, the first two days are spent trekking through the lush rainforest to Shira Plateau. We recommend a minimum of 7 days to attempt this route but 8 days is preferable for better acclimatization and summit success. The Lemosho route joins the Machame route after Shira 2 Camp and then follows the same route through the southern circuit and descending at Mweka Gate.
