Day 2 & 3

Tarangire National Park

Your itinerary kicks off in the wilderness of Tarangire National Park and the luxury bush camp that is Oliver’s Camp. Adventure waits in the form of bush walks and night game drives amongst ancient baobab trees and spectacular herds of buffalo and elephant. On your third day, take a hike out to a remote part of the bush, where your very own private tent site awaits. Spend the night under the African night sky.

Day 4 & 5

Welcome to Karatu

You will be transferred to your next accommodation, the luxurious Gibb’s farm. While staying here, you will head off to the Ngorongoro Crater. A full day game drive in the World Heritage site is going to be an experience you will not forget! Down on the crater floor with the walls of the unbroken caldera towering above you on all sides, you will have the chance to marvel at the abundance of wildlife that calls this fascinating landscape their home. Lake Manyara National Park is just an easy 30 minute drive to see more wildlife, and Gibb’ s Farm offers it’ s own host of activities such as farm walks, cultural visits and a mountain bike. day trip to Rotia

Day 6 - Day 8

Safari in Serengeti National Park

Journey on to Ubuntu Camp – a luxury mobile camp following the movements of the Migration. From July to October, Ubuntu Camp is located in the Northern Serengeti. Here you wait in rapt attention; poised with camera waiting for the moment the herd decides it is time to cross the crocodile infested waters of the Mara River. From December to February, Ubuntu Camp is located inside the Ngorongoro Conservation Area overlooking the open plains. During these months, the herds congregate on the lush grass to give birth to the next generation of wildebeest which quickly turns into a feeding frenzy of easy pickings for the resident cats and scavengers.

Day 9 - Day 12

Fun in the Sun

For the final leg of your itinerary you can relax, unwind, and let the “hardships” of safari wash away as you lounge in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean and rejuvenate in the oasis that is Matemwe. Fill your last few days with reef walks, dhow trips, snorkelling diving and cultural tours. Head off on a spice tour to learn why Zanzibar was such a sought after trade port. On your last day be sure to spoil yourself with one or two spa treatments before heading back to reality.

Day 13

Departure Day

This is the final day of your safari, and you will enjoy a delicious breakfast before relaxing while waiting for your guide. Your guide will pick you up and take you to Kilimanjaro International Airport via Arusha for departure.

The northern circuit is the home of the classic safari experince from the endless short-grass plain of serengeti to the dense river lying forest of Tarangire to the lushy blended ecosytem of Ngorongoro an abundance of wildlife the perfectly capture the safari experience.

Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park can be reached by means of an easy 60-minute drive north west from Moshi. Despite of closeness of this National Park to Arusha, this National Park is probably one of the least visited, making it a wonderful and rewarding off-the beaten-track excursion. Covering 137 sq km, the Arusha National Park has three major attractions which can all be visited in the course of a day outing.

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park is probably the mostly visited of the northern Tanzanian game parks, and retains a real air of undiscovered Africa, particular in the south of the park. Much of the park is grassland together with swamp lands and flood plains, which feed the Tarangire River. Large baobab trees, particularly in the northern section of the park, stand dotted across the landscape dominating the scenery. Many of the trees are hundreds of years old. Elsewhere there is acacia woodland, open bush and groves of palm trees.

Lake Manyara National Park

Covering about 330km², of which about two-thirds is underwater, Lake Manyara National Park is small by African standards. However, it’s also very beautiful and contains a tremendous diversity of habitats and wildlife. Set beneath the spectacular backdrop of the Great Rift Valley’s steep western escarpment, this long, narrow park protects an area between the escarpment and Lake Manyara.

Ngorongoro Crater

The  Ngorongoro conservation area covers 2286sq km and encompasses the volcanic area around the Ngorongoro crater including the still active Oldonyo Lengai, and the famous Olduvai Gorge. The Ngorongoro conservation area is quite simply the most spectacular tourist destination in Africa unequaled in its magnificence its wild life and its atmosphere.Added to the beautiful scenery, the archaeological wealth and the wildlife, is a proud people – the massai- a pastoral tribe.

Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti National Park has probably been the subject of more books, television documentaries, pictures, photos and digital images on African wildlife animals, than any other African national park. Hosting the annual wildebeest migration across its grassy plains – arguably the world’s greatest wildlife animals spectacle – this park is without a doubt a defining image of East Africa and more specifically Tanzania.
